Keep in mind, you’re on Île de Ré, not in Saint Tropez, Ibiza, or another trendy destination where beach bars are called “beach clubs.”
We’re just trying to manage your expectations here. This isn’t the place for beach loungers or a DJ, but it’s right on the beach, with a sea view. The refreshing rosé and tasty food you can enjoy directly in the sand, in a palm garden, or under a covered terrace.
It’s ‘just’ a great spot for lunch or a drink and quite unique on the island. They also serve dinner by the way…
Lovely terrace (or should we call it a garden?), sheltered by palm trees, shade sails, and wicker parasols. A great atmosphere, both outdoors and indoors…
The front (or back, depending on how you look at it) is open, so you have a full view of the sea while still being sheltered if needed.
If you want to have lunch or dinner here, it’s a good idea to make a reservation—especially during high season.
Didn’t make a reservation or have other lucky guests beat you to it? Then head for a drink on a bench right in the sand. There’s usually space here.
