Bistro-bar L'Amitié
Light modern French dishes
Located in a prime spot on the newly revamped Vlaamse Kaai, now transformed into a beautiful park, with charming shops just around the corner. Be sure to visit this area when you’re in Antwerp! And what could be better than stopping by for lunch or dinner?
The clean-lined design, yet cozy interior, retains the original character of this beautiful building, with the stunning fish artwork on the wall as a special highlight.
The bistro-style menu features flavorful small plates—something we absolutely love! Why? Because they’re perfect if you have a smaller appetite, want to sample several dishes, or ‘just’ enjoy sharing with friends.
Here, you’ll taste the passion and care that goes into every dish, each crafted and presented like a work of art.
We also fondly remember the friendly staff, who make you feel like you’re dining with friends—probably the reason they chose the name L’Amitié, which means “friendship” in French.
The menu changes frequently, so there’s always a new reason to return and try the latest selections.
Just a heads-up: they’re closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Modern with Character, Small Plates, Big Flavors, Friendly, Pleasant Area
Beautiful high ceilings, the original brick wall, smooth plastered walls. And of course the fish on the wall. Contemporary with timeless charm.
The menu features a range of small dishes, all made with beautiful ingredients. Perfect for sharing—or just to enjoy on your own. And if you’re not too hungry, this is still a great spot.
Rich flavors, beautifully presented. No fuss, just delicious and honest food. The dishes are like little works of art—almost a shame to eat them. We understand why they the Michelin guide is mentioning them.
